Through the Data4Development Platform, the Planning Institute of Jamaica has configured DFA Monitoring to monitor and report progress in the achievement of Vision 2030 Jamaica.
The Data4Development platform is a monitoring, planning and reporting initiative that is assisting the Planning Institute of Jamaica, and the national government, to monitor the achievement of Vision 2030 Jamaica, in addition to tracking progress against specific Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) indicators.
In collaboration with UNDP Jamaica, the Planning Institute of Jamaica is actively monitoring and reporting on national progress with the intention of progressing the achieving of the four national goals: empowering Jamaicans to achieve their fullest potential, ensuring Jamaican society is secure, cohesive and just, ensuring Jamaica’s economy is prosperous and Jamaica has a healthy natural environment.
The platform consists of a monitoring dashboard, statistical dashboards for three sectors of the Jamaica government and a Metadata Hub to communicate information on all indicators. These aspects, in addition to a mobile application, provide an easy and accessible way to view up-to-date information on Vision 2030 Jamaica. Avalon also developed a mobile app for Jamaica called the DFA Insights.
